American Pringles in a Can in South Korea

Oh my goodness! The can of Pringles Potato Chips that I bought today in South Korea were actually made in Belgium. Well, I guess someone did an awfully good job, because those tasty chips looked and tasted just exactly the same as the ones in my beloved country, the United States of America.

At any rate, Pringles is especially known for its packaging, a tubular can with a resealable plastic lid, invented by Fredric J. Baur, an organic chemist & food storage technician for Cincinnati-based Procter & Gamble Co.

When he passed away on March 4, 2008, Baur's children honored his request to bury him in one of the cans by placing part of his cremated remains in a Pringles container in his grave. Now, ain't that cool?
